Appeared in 1980 as a result of the passage of a truck that perform forest three tombs of a grave Plan of Marcetes River (near the oaks of Marcetes and known for its most popular form , Forest Marcetes). The bulldozer that was used to remove the truck bump shook the earth and uncovered the find.
It was not until six years later, in 1986, which was performed by the emergency excavation Archaeological Service big cinema sitiawan of the Government. The excavation took two campaigns, the first lasted big cinema sitiawan 16 days (March 22 to April 6) and the second big cinema sitiawan campaign 21 days (from July 3 to July 24). The necropolis of Marcetes River Plan is a plateau as the name suggests, only 200 meters from the right side of the River Llobregat. The property where the discovery was made belongs to the family Altimiras and lies Viladordis entity of the municipality of Manresa.
The material from the accidental discovery consists of a serpentine ax polimentada, white flint knife, two retouched flint blades, screw holes that served twice as a pendant, a microlensing trapezoidal and two boar tusks.
