Hi there! This is my 1st comment here so I just wanted two provide a quick shout out and tell you I

At 03:30 we arrived at night to Cebu International Airport. We were greeted everywhere by smiling and very welcoming people who all offered help with taxi etc.. Actually they were so accommodating that we were a bit suspicious. Was there anything behind this overexposed kindness? However, we have as yet no reason to believe otherwise than that Filipinos are just more open and curious than the Chinese. We got a taxi to our hotel as we had pre-booked online. It's city square cinema showtime called Kuku's Nest, and is approximately 10 km from the airport. The ride in the taxi cost 29 kr ... While we are very late in the night drove through Cebu bed we noticed that the houses are far more slum-like than we have experienced in China. Poverty is simply far greater here. At the lighted streets so we have several city square cinema showtime children city square cinema showtime (some under 10 years) move. What are they doing in the middle of the night in Cebu? The answer is probably that they are not in school and may not have a permanent address ... Truly a different view than you met in China, where the course was a nation of only children and very ambitious parents. When we finally arrived at Kuku's Nest was really a great place. A bar and restaurant is the the reception and again we were met with smiles and a huge helpfulness. Everyone here speaks good English and the Chinese characters are replaced with Roman letters, so now we can actually see where we are. In the bar hung out Bobby - a New Yorker who appear are stranded here on the 5th month. We broke down and bought city square cinema showtime a Coke for 3 kr., And had a good chat with him about the city and the Philippines city square cinema showtime in general. He confirmed the extreme poverty and the many starving children using the day to beg. He warned us not to give them anything - because we'd never get rid of them. Very tired knocked us to bed at. about 05:00 in Room 4 (fine room with shower and toilet on the corridor - but for 32 kr. Pr. Night per. Husband) Friday we got up at midday midday agstid and I shaved me-) but did little chin beard sitting - just for fun: -) Now consider Frederik I've got a look ala Biker Jens .... We went down in the cozy restaurant and ordered breakfast. 2 slices of toast, scramled EEGs, bacon and coffee for 10 kr. Pr. husband. Here we also discovered that there actually is free internet in the restaurant, which is important for two online travel bloggers:-) connection is just as unstable as the community is here .... So maybe we will have to keep looking for an internet café. The result can possibly. be that we must avoid videos because they are so "heavy" to upload ... We know, however, that in the course of our tour in the Philippines will be places city square cinema showtime where there is no Internet is - and hope we do not lose readers for the reason . Today we have been on a city tour in Cebu. Let's just say it straight away - we've ended up in a developing country with all the characteristics that this implies; Deep poverty, slums, homeless children, child prostitution and stinking water is everywhere. In the midst of all the misery we meet Filipinos who all this despite the large smiling, welcoming and helpful with the same brush. The taxi driver today, talked about the city and the problems of poverty but also on some of the islands he thought we should visit. We have decided to go to Bohol in the morning, and when he heard it, he drove immediately to the ticket office at the port and told that the trip would be 300 pesos cheaper today than tomorrow. Now 30 kr.'s Not sound like much, but considering that the trip costs 50 kr, there's Tagle a substantial savings. All in all, we love the Philippines. We are fascinated still that 88 million people have the energy to smile and helpfulness when they practically sitting in deep shit. Photos and videos can be seen here
