Tuesday, January 19, 2010: Aussie is an expensive bitch .... So said a local guy from Darwin to me yesterday when we had a nice chat over a beer. He's food trucks sf right. The price level is close to the Danish - and the travel budget is blown. I do therefore a change in travel plans, which means that I go to Fiji instead of India. The trip is shortened too - more on that later. Today I'll Pacific Blue to Fiji with a stopover in Brisbane. I pass several time zones and therefore see the time schedule is as follows: Departure from Darwin pm. 01:35 Arrival at Brisbane. 05:55 (Brisbane is 30 minutes ahead of Darwin) Transit in Brisbane 3 hours and 5 minutes Departs Brisbane: pm. 09:00 Arrive Nadi (Fiji): 15.40 (Nadi is 3 hours ahead of Brisbane) Also in Fiji is the rainy season, and hopefully not too many tourists. In any case, says the rumor that I did not want to meet any of the many honeymooners, as the islands almost made for her thesis. NOTE: I have pre-booked myself into a hostel food trucks sf where I will be staying in the "jungle-tent". There is limited electricity in the evening (between 18 and 22), no mobile signal or Internet. Blog's readers must therefore wait Fiji updates again I am back in Australia (January 24.)
